Community Club (V.C.C.)

Welcome to Vejar!

Whether this is your first or fifth year at Vejar, we would like to welcome you and share what our Community Club is all about. The Vejar Community Club’s mission is for families and teachers to work together to provide exceptional educational experiences for our children and help them achieve their highest potential.

We are an independent organization and do not belong to any state or national affiliation. This makes us different than a PTA, and because of this, we keep all of the funds raised for our school without paying state and national dues. In a nutshell: The more we raise, the more we have to support our students and teachers.

This year we making an effort to grow our club. It is important for you to know that every year your child attends Vejar; you automatically become a member of the Vejar Community Club (VCC). We encourage you to participate in our activities, volunteer, donate, or come and enjoy the fun.  We have a lot of great things planned but need your help. We can always use support both on and behind the scenes. You may be able to show up physically to help, have an affiliation with a business that supports our school, or you may have a skill that can help us to fulfill our mission. We will gladly accept all help and turn no one away.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of your child’s education. Research shows that children do better in school when their parent/s or guardians are involved. Please consider getting involved, our activities include: Book fairs, Box Tops for Education, E-script, Family Nights, Fifth Grade Party, Round Up (fundraiser), Harvest Festival, Jog-a-thon, Literacy Week, Meet the Masters Fine Arts Program, Multi-Cultural Fair, Room Parent Coordinator, Open House, Photographer, Campus PR, Red Ribbon Week, Picture Day helper, Science Night, See’s Candie Sales, Snack Sales, Spelling Bee, Staff Appreciation, Summer Reading, T-shirt sales, Vejar Track Stars, Yearbook, and general volunteers (to assist when needed as available).

We want to grow, so we would love to hear new ideas and thoughts. Please don’t hesitate to share! We are looking forward to a great year.

If you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact one of our Vejar Community Board Members at [email protected]!
