Welcome to Vejar Elementary School!
I am so honored to begin the school year as a Vaquero! I look forward to working with you and your children as the entire staff of Vejar Elementary School provides your family with an outstanding educational program. I am very proud of the curriculum Vejar offers. This year we will continue our “Vejar Values” school wide behavior program. Students will be taught the three core values of: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Students will also be taking part in various enrichment opportunities such as Project Lead the Way, music, theatre, STEAM, technology, Meet the Masters and social emotional learning this year. All of our programs work to support our children as they grow and develop academically, emotionally and socially.
Daily student attendance is the key to student success. It is important your child is in school every day to ensure a successful school year. Help us to have all of our students be at school on time, every day! If you miss school, you miss out!
We encourage all of our parents to get involved! Become a class speaker, special guest, volunteer or chaperone. You can also participate in School Site Council and Vejar Community Club! To keep abreast of current events at school, please check this website, follow us on Facebook or Twitter. Be sure to take note of important people, dates, and different ways that you can become involved in your child’s education at Vejar. Please be sure that we have your correct email address at all times. I look forward to our time together throughout the year.
