Vejar Elementary School

Dear Learning Community,

I am truly honored to serve as principal of Vejar Elementary School!

As I have met parents, students, and faculty, I am continuously impressed with the level of enthusiasm and excitement about our school. And, as members of the Vejar family, we have great reason to be excited. Vejar is built upon a solid foundation of parent/community support and excellent teaching.

As your new principal, I pledge to continue building upon that foundation through communication and empowerment of all our stakeholders. We will continue to seek highly effective ways to motivate and instruct our students both academically and socially through staff training, technology, and community involvement. Vejar will continue to provide the best possible education for our children. Strong academics are provided in a caring, nurturing environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and strong family/school communication.

Finally, on behalf of our entire learning community, I want to thank Mrs. Yvonne Sevilla for her many dedicated years of service to our children. Having known her for many years, I believe she exemplified the spirit and philosophy of Walnut Valley through her professionalism, energy, and love of all students. She will always have a place in our hearts. Enjoy your retirement, Yvonne!
