VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE APPLICATION

FAQs

  1. Where can our volunteers go to get a TB Shot or X-Rays for TB for Level 2 participation (classroom or on-site volunteers)?

·      Volunteers are encouraged to go to their own doctors to get this done, as the cost for the screening may be cheaper.  However, if the volunteers wish to seek someone other than their own doctor, then they can visit our district’s clinic, COMP or the Pomona Public Health Center at 750 South Park in Pomona (909/868-0268).

  1. How long are TB Screenings valid?

·      TB tests and TB X-Rays are both valid for 4 years.

  1. Looking forward, do we have volunteers fill out a new application for each new school year, even if they have been cleared this year?

·      Yes, a new application must be submitted annually as it will assist in getting updated, current information.  It will also help verify TB clearance if necessary.
